CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M University head baseball coach
Matt Vanderburg has announced the addition of Paradise Valley Community College standout Tyler Dubuque for the 2022 season as the first announced member of the signing class.
Dubuque is currently in his sophomore season at Paradise Valley Community College in Phoenix, Arizona where he has seen time in 16 contests for the Pumas over the past two seasons under head coach Victor Solis. Tyler has tossed 43.1 frames for PVCC with 54 strikeouts to compile a 4-1 overall record to go along with a pair of saves.
The talented right-hander graduated from Hamilton High School in 2018. Tyler is the son of Aaron Dubuque and Stacey Westphal and he is expected to major in Sports & Exercise Science at West Texas A&M.
The Buffs will host the Bob Sloan Baseball Classic to open up the 2021 campaign on February 5-7 at Wilder Park with a three-day round robin against Southwestern Oklahoma State and Oklahoma Baptist.
