#21 Lady Buffs Force 25 Turnovers in Kingsville, Win Their Ninth Straight

KINGSVILLE, Texas – Senior Tiana Parker registered her fourth career double-double while the #21 Lady Buffs forced 25 turnovers on Thursday night to run their win streak to nine games with a 56-32 Lone Star Conference crossover road victory over the Texas A&M-Kingsville Javelinas at the Steinke Center in Kingsville.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lady Buffs were led by Abby Spurgin who went 5-of-9 from the floor and 2-of-4 from the free throw line to score 12 points followed by Tiana Parker with 11 and Delaney Nix with 10, Parker grabbed 11 rebounds for her third double-double of the season to go along with four blocks while Braylyn Dollar registered four assists and seven boards to go along with eight points.
- Texas A&M-Kingsville was led by Bridget Upton who went 5-of-16 from the floor and 2-of-5 from the charity stripe for a team-high 12 points to go along with two rebounds and three assists, Bri'Ana Soliz grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the way defensively for the Javelinas to go along with two points and a block.
 
FIRST HALF
- The Lady Buffs finished the first half going 6-of-26 (23.1%) from the floor including 2-of-7 (28.6%) from behind the arc and 5-of-8 (62.5%) from the free throw line with 18 rebounds (five offensive, 13 defensive), four assists, seven turnovers, seven steals and three blocks.
- TAMUK went 6-of-28 (21.4%) from the field in the first half including 0-of-9 from deep without attempting a free throw to go along with 19 rebounds (seven offensive, 12 defensive), two assists, 11 turnovers, two steals and two blocks.
 
SECOND HALF
- WT finished the game going 18-of-53 (34%) from the floor including 4-of-15 (26.7%) from deep and 16-of-26 (61.5%) from the charity stripe with 34 total rebounds (nine offensive, 25 defensive), 11 assists, 13 turnovers, 15 steals and six blocks in the win.
- The Javelinas went 14-of-53 (26.4%) from the field in the game including 0-of-11 from behind the arc and 4-of-7 (57.1%) from the free throw line with 36 rebounds (10 offensive, 26 defensive), two assists, 25 turnovers, six steals and five blocks. It marks the first time since November 9, 2019 that the Lady Buffs held an opponent without a made three-point bucket (at Regis, 0-of-17) and the third time this season with at least 25 forced turnovers.
