CANYON, Texas – The #25 Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M took over sole possession of first place in the Lone Star Conference divisional standings on Saturday afternoon as they withstood a furious rally by #2 Lubbock Christian in a 64-56 victory in front of over 1,600 fans at the First United Bank Center in Canyon, Texas. WT registered 13 blocks in the win to mark the fourth most in a single-game in program history.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lady Buffs were led by
Megan Gamble who went 4-of-5 from behind the arc and 5-of-8 from the free throw line to lead all players to tie a career-high with 17 points to go along with five rebounds, three assists, three steals and a block.
Tiana Parker and
Braylyn Dollar added 13 points each while Parker added five rebounds and seven blocks.
- Lubbock Christian was led offensively by Allie Schulte who went 5-of-15 from the floor and a perfect 5-of-5 from the charity stripe for a team-high 15 points to go along with five rebounds and three steals, Emma Middleton chipped in 14 points for LCU to go along with five rebounds, two assists and a block.

- The Lady Buffs finished the first half going 10-of-34 (29.4%) from the floor including 4-of-12 (33.3%) from behind the arc and a perfect 3-of-3 from the charity stripe with 24 rebounds (10 offensive, 14 defensive), seven assists, nine turnovers, three steals and eight blocks.
- LCU went 10-of-27 (37%) from the field in the opening half including 3-of-7 (42.9%) from deep and a perfect 2-of-2 from the free throw line with 15 rebounds (three offensive, 12 defensive), five assists, seven turnovers, three steals and a pair of blocks.

- WT finished the game going 18-of-51 (35.3%) from the floor including 7-of-19 (36.8%) from behind the arc and 21-of-26 (80.8%) from the free throw line with 44 rebounds (14 offensive, 30 defensive), 12 assists, 21 turnovers, eight steals and 13 blocks.
