Nix's Career Night Leads the #25 Lady Buffs Past Rival Angelo State, 79-58

 
CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M sophomore guard Delaney Nix set the tone early with a pair of long balls as the Tahlequah native finished the night tying a career-high with 21 points as the #25 Lady Buffs rolled past the rival Angelo State Rambelles, 79-58 in Lone Star Conference divisional action at the First United Bank Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lady Buffs were led by Delenay Nix who went 7-of-11 from behind the arc to tie a career-high with 21 points while also connecting on the fourth most three-pointers in a single game in program history, Braylyn Dollar finished the night with 16 points and 10 rebounds for her fourth career double-double while Abby Spurgin and Tiana Parker combined for 16 points and 10 blocks in the victory.
- Angelo State was led offensively by Sawyer Lloyd and De'Anira Moore with 15 points each followed by Catara Samuel with 12, Samuel and Moore both grabbed six rebounds to lead the way defensively while Moore added one steal and three blocks on the night.
 
FIRST HALF
- The Lady Buffs finished the first half going 19-of-35 (54.3%) from the floor including 5-of-10 (50%) from behind the arc and 5-of-8 (62.5%) from the free throw line with 21 total rebounds (five offensive, 16 defensive), 13 assists, four turnovers, seven steals and seven blocks.
- ASU went 11-of-31 (35.5%) from the floor in the first half including 5-of-11 (45.5%) from deep and 2-of-4 (50%) from the charity stripe with 17 rebounds (five offensive, 12 defensive), seven assists, eight turnovers, two steals and two blocks.
 
SECOND HALF
- WT finished the game going 29-of-58 (50%) from the floor including 9-of-19 (47.4%) from behind the arc and 12-of-18 (66.7%) from the free throw line with 43 total rebounds (eight offensive, 35 defensive), 18 assists, 14 turnovers, seven steals and 11 blocks to tie the ninth most in a single-game in team history.
- The Belles finished the night going 20-of-65 (30.8%) from the field including 8-of-24 (33.3%) from deep and 10-of-13 (76.9%) from the charity stripe with 36 rebounds (12 offensive, 24 defensive), nine assists, 11 turnovers, five steals and five blocks in the loss.
