CANYON, Texas - The No. 4 Buffaloes of West Texas A&M stay perfect after a 3-1 victory over nationally-ranked No. 9 Eastern New Mexico on Thursday night, handing the Greyhounds their first loss of the season. Kenny Brown and Jean-Luc Ramdin each scored to lead the Buffs to their fourth-consecutive win to open Lone Star Conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Greyhounds senior forward Julian Trapp put Eastern New Mexico on the board early in the game after finishing a pass from Charlie Hackshall in the ninth minute. The Buffs responded in the 14th minute after Jean-Luc Ramdin followed up on a rebound from ENMU's goalkeeper to tie the score. Sophomore Kenny Brown gave WT the go-ahead lead off a rebound from the goalkeeper to put the Buffs ahead 2-1 at the half.
WT added their final goal when Francesco D'Aulerio found Brown to give the Buffs a 3-1 home victory to open conference play. West Texas A&M outshot Eastern New Mexico 21-4 with 11 shots on frame.
Colin Burgiel picked up his second victory of the season, allowing one goal with two saves on four shots. Dalton Ross takes the loss for Eastern New Mexico, allowing three goals with eight saves on 21 shots.

The Buffs will head to Wichita Falls, Texas, for another top-25 matchup as they face No. 19 Midwestern State on September 28. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT on Saturday at Stang Park.
