Coveney would pick up her second RBI in as many innings in the top of the second on a bases loaded walk that scored Brittany Cruz.

ASU took the lead in the bottom of the fifth on a Jade Strother solo home run. They would add tow more runs in the sixth on Avery Zeigler's two-run homer to left field.

Down to their final three outs, the Lady Buffs put up eight runs to retake the lead highlighted by Moore's grand slam to right field. Shayne Starkey reached base on a hit by pitch before advancing to second on Coveney's single up the middle forcing a pitching change.
