Biography

At Louisiana-Lafayette:
Grotenhuis comes to Canyon from Louisiana-Lafayette where she saw time in 17 games for the Ragin' Cajuns. All 17 appearances came in 2016 where she had 12 at-bats with three RBI and four walks. She also excelled in the classroom as a member of the Sun Belt Conference Academic Honor Roll. During her time in Lafayette, the Ragin' Cajuns made four NCAA Postseason appearances including a pair of Super Regionals.
 
At MacArthur High School:
She registered a standout prep career at MacArther High School in Houston and Atascocita High School in Humble where she finished her final two years, picking up First Team All-District honors all four seasons while claiming three District Championships.
