SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The #16 Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M came up with big defensive stops all night long as they allowed just 12 points in the second half which is third lowest in program history including a scoreless fourth quarter by the St. Mary's Rattlers on Saturday night at the McDermott Center on the campus of Incarnate Word during Lone Star Conference action in a 57-43 victory.

- The Lady Buffs were led by 
Delaney Nix who went 7-of-12 from the field including 5-of-10 from behind the arc to score 19 points followed by 
Abby Spurgin with 11 and 
Megan Gamble with 10, Gamble dished out a game-high six assists to go along with six boards while 
Tiana Parker rejected five shots in the paint for the Lady Buffs.
- The Rattlers were led by the LSC's leading scorer Soteria Banks who went 7-of-16 from the floor and 3-of-5 from deep for a game-high 20 points to go along with seven rebounds, Hannah Wilson grabbed eight rebounds while Alexia Torres dished out three assists.
 
FIRST HALF
- The Lady Buffs finished the first half going 9-of-24 (37.5%) from the floor including 4-of-12 (33.3%) from behind the arc and 0-of-1 from the free throw line with 15 rebounds (six offensive, nine defensive), six assists, 10 turnovers, two steals and one block.
- StMU went 11-of-25 (44%) from the floor in the first half including 6-of-11 (54.5%) from deep and a perfect 3-of-3 from the charity stripe with 15 rebounds (five offensive, 10 defensive), six assists, seven turnovers, two steals and one block.
 
SECOND HALF
- WT finished the game going 20-of-45 (44.4%) from the floor including 6-of-19 (31.6%) from deep and 11-of-18 (61.1%) from the charity stripe with 36 total rebounds (12 offensive, 24 defensive), 13 assists, 17 turnovers, three steals and five blocks win the win.
- The Rattlers went 15-of-51 (29.4%) from the field on the night including 6-of-17 (35.3%) from behind the arc and a perfect 7-of-7 from the line to go along with 30 rebounds (12 offensive, 18 defensive), eight assists, 14 turnovers, six steals and one block.
