Parker’s Double-Double Powers the #21 Lady Buffs Past CSU-Pueblo

CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M senior Tiana Parker registered her second career double-double on Saturday afternoon as the #21 Lady Buffs ran their win streak to seven games with a convincing 75-46 victory over the ThunderWolves of Colorado State-Pueblo to conclude the Pak-A-Sak Thankgiving Classic at the First United Bank Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lady Buffs were led offensively by Tiana Parker who went 6-of-13 from the floor including 5-of-6 from the free throw line for 17 points to go along with a career-high 12 rebounds, Sienna Lenz (12) and Nathalie Linden (10) finished the game in double-figures while Braylyn Dollar and Delaney Nix had three steals each.
- The Pack were led by JaNaiya Davis who went 7-of-14 from the field including 2-of-2 from the free throw line for a team-high 16 points followed by Khiya Adams with 12 and Kansas Watts with 10, Jade Adams grabbed eight boards to lead the team while Harmony Pettis dished out a pair of assists.
 
FIRST HALF
- The Lady Buffs finished the first half going 15-of-38 (39.5%) from the floor including 2-of-12 (16.7%) from behind the arc and 10-of-12 (83.3%) from the free throw line with 27 rebounds (10 offensive, 17 defensive), five assists, four turnovers, seven steals and two blocks.
- CSUP went 4-of-24 (16.7%) from the field in the first half including 2-of-7 (28.6) from deep and a perfect 4-of-4 from the charity stripe with 13 rebounds (one offensive, 12 defensive), three assists, 13 turnovers, three steals and three blocks.
 
SECOND HALF
- WT finished the game going 27-of-63 (42.9%) from the floor including 2-of-13 (15.4%) from deep and 19-of-24 (79.2%) from the free throw line with 37 rebounds (12 offensive, 25 defensive), nine assists, 11 turnovers, 12 steals and six blocks in the win.
