CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs registered their fifth straight victory on Friday night as they swept past the rival Mustangs of Midwestern State in straight sets during Lone Star Conference action (25-23, 25-21, 25-13) at the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box".
 
Selena Batiste led the way offensively for the Lady Buffs with 11 kills on 29 swings with six attack errors to hit .172 on the night followed by Torrey Miller with nine kills, Sadie Snay paced the WT attack with 27 assists  to go along with three digs and six kills while Chandler Vogel led the way in the back row with 12 digs in the win. The Lady Buffs hit .162 as a team with 38 kills on 99 swings with 22 attack errors to go along with 37 assists, nine aces, 43 digs and 10 total blocks.
 
Sarah Eakin paced the Midwestern State attack with seven kills on 21 swings with three attack errors to hit .190 on the night followed by Janiya Chapman, Rachel Howes and Ravel Presley with five kills each. Sarah Glawe dished out 13 assists to go along with five digs while Jaycie Fuller lead MSU with nine digs in the loss. The Mustangs finished the night with 29 kills on 100 swings with 22 attack errors to hit .070 with 27 assists, no aces, 31 digs and seven blocks.
 
The Lady Buffs wrap-up Homecoming Weekend action tomorrow afternoon as they host the Pioneers of Texas Woman's with first serve set for 1 p.m. at The Box in Canyon.
