RESULTS
NORMAN, Okla. – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M competed in their first hunt seat competition on Oct. 19-20 at Johnson Performance Horses in Ardmore, Okla. WT won High Point Team honors during Sunday's competition after earning Reserve High Point Team honors on Saturday.
The Lady Buffs picked up three victories on Saturday to earn Reserve High Point Team honors. Rea Golt was the top rider in introductory equitation on the flat with Klarissa Barley (open equitation on the flat) and Kristan Hamilton (prenovice equitation on the flat) also picking up victories in their respective events. Veronica Beagle (intermediate equitation on the flat), Kendall Woellmer (limit equitation on the flat), Sydney Mayo (limit equitation on the flat) and Katelynn Hollister (novice equitation on the flat) all earned runner-up finishes.Â
During Sunday's competition, Megan Descheneaux (open equitation on the flat), Karis Blankenship (intermediate equitation on the flat), Joy Hiller (limit equitation over fences), Kira Morris (novice equitation on the flat) and Delaney Oltman (introductory equitation on the flat) picked up victories to lead the Lady Buffs to High Point Team honors.Â
The Lady Buffs return to action on Nov. 2-3 when they host a pair of Western competitions at the WTAMU Horse Center.Â
