RESULTS
CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M hosted their first home show of the semester last weekend at the WTAMU Horse Center earning High Point Team honors during both hunt seat competitions. WT competed against North Texas, Texas Tech, Tarleton, Oklahoma and Southern Nazarene.
The Lady Buffs picked up the first of two High Point Team honors on Saturday led by the performance of Ava Charrlin, who tied for reserve high point rider. The freshman finished first in intermediate equitation on the flat along with a second-place finish in intermediate equitation over fences.Â
Klarissa Barley (open equitation on the flat), Marin Duriex (novice equitation on the flat) and Kristan Hamilton (prenovice equitation on the flat) also picked up victories in their respective events.Â
On Sunday, Megan Descheneaux (open equitation over fences), Joy Hiller (intermediate equitation on the flat) and Reilly Dhaliwal (pre-novice equitation on the flat) finished first in their events helping the Lady Buffs to High Point Team honors. Barley (open equitation on the flat), Kylie McEuen (limit equitation over fences) and Jordan Schneider (introductory equitation on the flat) also picked up second-place finishes.Â
The Lady Buffs return to action on Feb. 28 – March 1 when they host a pair of western horse shows as well as the Western Regionals.Â
