CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs used a balanced attack with nine players registering a kill on Tuesday night as WT registered their fourth straight victory with a Lone Star Conference sweep of Eastern New Mexico (25-17, 25-15, 25-15) at the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box" in Canyon.
Torrey Miller led the way offensively for the Lady Buffs with 14 kills on 24 swings with four attack errors to hit .427 followed by
Lindsey Smith with 10 kills,
Sadie Snay registered a double-double with 40 assists and 12 digs while reigning LSC Defensive Player of the Week
Chandler Vogel led all players with 21 digs. WT finished the night with 49 kills on 97 swings with 10 attack errors to hit .402 with 48 assists, three aces, 54 digs and four blocks in the win.
Jasmine Gannon paced the ENMU offense with eight kills on 19 swings with three attack errors to hit .316 in the match followed by Lauryn Bresnahan with six kills, Qitana Sapiga dished out a team-high 14 assists while Gannon led the way on the back row with eight digs. The Greyhounds registered 31 kills on 107 swings with 15 attack errors to hit .150 on the night with 28 assists, four aces, 33 digs and three blocks in the loss.
The Lady Buffs return to the friendly confines of the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box" on Friday night as they continue Homecoming Week with a showdown with Midwestern State with first serve set for 6 p.m. in Canyon.
