CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M scored five goals in the first half and never looked back as they rolled past the visiting Mustangs of University of the Southwest on Saturday afternoon at The Pitch in Canyon, Texas.

The Buffs got on the board first in the 21^st minute as Cameron Walker found Callum Challinor on a header from five yards out, Liam Doyle added to the WT lead just a minute later as he connected from 10 yards out on a pass from Reece Schattle.
 
Doyle scored again in the 31^st minute with a chip shot header at the far post from Julio Vargas and Cal Bryan. Lucca Lima got in on the action in the 32^nd minute on a free kick from 20 yards out. Lima scored again in the 42^nd minute from five yards out on a pass from Julio Hernandez to make it 5-0 headed to the half.
 
WT added to their lead in the 57^th minute as Harry McGrath registered his first career goal off a pass from Ivan Ulloa from 10 yards out to extend the lead to 6-0, the Buffs added to their lead in the 62^nd minute as Challinor dribbled around three defenders for his third goal of the season.
