ODESSA, Texas – The Buffs of West Texas A&M scored three second half goals on Saturday afternoon to pick up their first Heartland Conference victory of the season with a 3-0 decision over the Falcons of UT Permian Basin at the UTPB Soccer Field in Odessa, Texas

The Buffs got on the board in the 56^th minute as Callum Challinor continued his strong start to the season with the senior registering his sixth goal of the young campaign for the early 1-0 lead. WT struck again in the 67^th minute as Marius Longeanie found Michael Garcia on a cross pass on the far post to make it 2-0.
 
WT added an insurance goal in the 72^nd minute as Harry McGrath took advantage of a deflection from Reece Schattle for McGrath's second score of the season for the 3-0 win. The Buffs registered 28 shots in the match with half coming on-goal, Alexander Vencel returned to the goal for the Buffs as the sophomore tallied five saves on 10 shots faced.
