The Chaps got on the board in the 26
th minute as Richie Vaca-Cordova connected on a rocket from 30 yards out that found the top corner of the goal for the early 1-0 lead. The Buffs registered six shots in the opening half compared to two by LCU.

The Buffs tallied five more shots in the second half but only three fell on goal in the match while LCU finished the game with just five shots including a pair on goal with two scores. The Chaps added an insurance goal in the 86
th minute Jamal Yates won a one-on-one battle to make it 2-0.
Colin Burgiel picked up his first career defeat between the pipes for the Buffs, tallying one save on the afternoon.
