CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M junior outside Taylor Kress registered 14 kills on Saturday morning as the Lady Buffs swept past the Wilmington Wildcats during the Terrace Hotel Classic at the Jenkins Field House in Lakeland, Florida.

The Lady Buffs registered 50 kills on 126 swings with 19 attack errors to hit .246 on the afternoon with 47 assists, six service aces, 62 digs and four total blocks in the win. Kress led the way offensively with a match-high 14 kills on 38 swings with four errors to hit .263 in the win followed by Selena Batiste with eight kills and Lindsey Smith with seven, Gabby Emery dished out 23 assists with 11 digs for a double-double while Chandler Vogel led WT with 13 digs.
 
Wilmington finished the morning with 20 kills on 103 swings with 16 attack errors to hit .039 as a team with 19 assists, seven aces, 45 digs and seven total blocks in the loss. Mandy Behiels led the way for the Wildcats with nine kills followed by Emma Kongevold with four, Jill Braunsberg dished out a team-high 10 assists while Jenna Brown led all players with 14 digs.
