CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M started fast and never looked back as they swept past the Indians of Catawba College during the Courtyard Marriott/Terrace Hotel Classic at the Martinez Sports Center in Tampa, Florida.

Taylor Kress finished the match with a team-high eight kills on 27 swings with just one attack error to hit .259 on the afternoon followed by
Julia Borschel,
Selena Batiste and
Lindsey Smith with five kills each, Batiste and
Gabby Emery dished out 13 assists each while
Chandler Vogel led the way defensively with 16 digs.

Catawba finished the match with 32 kills on 116 attempts with 23 attack errors to hit .078 as a team with 30 assists, five aces, 43 digs and four total blocks. Allie Grubb led the way offensively with match-high nine kills followed by Micah Ensor with eight while Macy Eidenberger and Morgan Hester had six each, Hester dished out 22 assists for a double-double Allison Benton tallied 17 digs.
