CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M junior middle blocker
Lindsey Smith registered a career-high 13 kills on Friday afternoon as the Lady Buffs swept past the Adams State Grizzlies in the 2018 season opener in front of over 300 fans at the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box" in Canyon during the BritKare Lady Buff Classic.

The Lady Buffs registered 51 kills on 124 swings with 22 attack errors to hit .234 on the afternoon with 47 assists, four aces, 63 digs and eight total blocks in the sweep.
Julia Borschel led the way for the Lady Buffs with 14 kills in her first career game in Maroon & White followed by Smith with 13,
Selena Batiste dished out 31 assists to lead the way while
Chandler Vogel tallied 18 digs in the match.
Adams State finished the afternoon with 37 kills on 134 attempts with 19 errors to hit just .134 as a team with 34 assists, one ace, 46 digs and four blocks. Hannah Goddard registered a team-high 10 kills followed by Julianna Zamora and Jadyn Nanez with six each, Rachael Ringer dished out 29 assists while Mackenzie Swanson led all players with 20 digs.
