CANYON, Texas – The defending Midwest Regional Champion and 10
th ranked Hawks of Rockhurst scored the first five points of the night and never looked back as they swept past West Texas A&M to wrap-up the opening day of the BritKare Lady Buff Classic at the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box" in Canyon.

The Lady Buffs registered 35 kills on 96 swings with 19 attack errors to hit .167 on the night with 34 assists, one aces, 34 digs and just one total blocks in the sweep.
Lindsey Smith led the way for the Lady Buffs with 11 kills followed by
Selena Batiste with nine and
Destiny Jones with five, Batiste dished out 22 assists to lead the way while
Taylor Kress tallied nine digs in the match.

Rockhurst finished the night with 47 kills on 95 attempts with nine attack errors to hit .400 in the match with 43 assists, three aces, 37 digs and 10 total blocks in the win. Alyssa Woodman led all players with 13 kills followed by Karli Reichert and Emma Kriete with nine each, Dani Prusha dished out a match-high 24 assists while Kalie Arnold tallied 15 digs in the sweep.
