CANYON, Texas – The #21 Lions of Texas A&M-Commerce registered the first seven points of the match as they outlasted the West Texas A&M Lady Buffs in four sets during the 2018 regular season finale at the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box" in Canyon on Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Buffs registered 50 kills on 169 attempts with 19 errors to hit .183 on the night with 48 assists, two service aces, 80 digs and nine blocks. WT was led offensively by Taylor Kress with 12 kills followed by Sydnee Johnson with 11 and Selena Batiste with 10, Batiste registered her third straight triple-double with 26 assists and 15 digs while Kress led the way defensively with 21 digs for a double-double.
 
Texas A&M-Commerce finished the match with 75 kills on 194 swings with 21 attack errors to hit .278 as a team with 73 assists, five aces, 90 digs and seven blocks in the win. Shelley Chapron led all players with 18 kills on 34 swings with just two attack errors to hit .471 on the afternoon, Rylie Fuentes dished out 35 assists while Savannah Rutledge led all players with 34 digs in the win.
