CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M fought back from a 2-1 deficit to top the visiting Pioneers of Texas Woman's on Friday night in Lone Star Conference action in a five-set thriller at the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box" in Canyon.

The Lady Buffs registered 56 kills on 210 attempts with 29 errors to hit .129 on the night with 53 assists, five service aces, 118 digs and 12 blocks. WT was led offensively by Sydnee Johnson with 12 kills on 46 swings with five attack errors to hit .152 on the night, Selena Batiste registered her eighth career triple-double with 10 kills, 28 assists and 23 digs. Gabby Emery tallied a double-double with 20 assists and 21 digs while Chandler Vogel led all players with 38 digs in the win.
 
Texas Woman's finished the match with 57 kills on 219 swings with 33 attack errors to hit .110 as a team with 54 assists, four aces, 111 digs and nine blocks. Courntey Noel led all players with 15 kills on 47 swings with six attack errors to hit .191 on the night, Kate Ranes dished out a match-high 47 assists while Bailey French tallied 35 digs in the loss.
