COMMERCE, Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M started fast as they took the opening two sets in a Top-25 Lone Star Conference road matchup before falling in five sets to the #21 Texas A&M-Commerce Lions at the TAMUC Fieldhouse in Commerce, Texas on Friday night.

The Lady Buffs registered 56 kills on 198 attempts with 14 errors to hit .212 with 52 assists, five service aces, 82 digs and 13 blocks. WT was led offensively by
Taylor Kress with 14 kills on 44 swings with just two attack errors to hit .273 on the night followed by
Sydnee Johnson with 12 kills,
Selena Batiste and
Gabby Emery dished out 21 assists each while
Chandler Vogel led with way with 24 digs on the night.

Texas A&M-Commerce registered 86 kills on 213 swings with 31 attack errors to hit .258 as a team with 83 assists, six aces, 107 digs and three blocks in the win. TAMUC was led by Jaslyn Wacker with 19 kills on 37 attempts with three errors to hit .432 on the night followed by Jaryn Wacker with 17 kills, Celeste Vela dished out a match-high 34 assists while Sacvannah Rutledge led all players with 25 digs.
