LUBBOCK, Texas – West Texas A&M junior
Selena Batiste registered her sixth triple-double of the season on Tuesday night but it wasn't enough as the Lady Buffs fell to the Heartland Conference Champion Lady Chaps of Lubbock Christian in five sets at the Rip Griffin Center in Lubbock.

The Lady Buffs registered 65 kills on 219 attempts with 24 errors to hit .187 on the night with 64 assists, five service aces, 102 digs and eight blocks. WT was led offensively by Batiste who registered a career-high 19 kills on 47 swings with just one attack error to hit .383 on the night with 27 assists and 16 digs for her seventh career triple-double,
Gabby Emery led the team with 32 assists while
Chandler Vogel led the way defensively with 28 digs.
Lubbock Christian finished the match with 71 kills on 208 swings with 25 attack errors to hit .221 as a team with 68 assists, nine aces, 115 digs and 10 blocks in the win. Ashley VanFleet led all players with 26 kills on 53 attempts with eight attack errors to hit .340 on the night, Bradi Marshall paced the LCU offense with 64 assists while McKaley Johnson led all players with 30 digs in the win.
