PORTALES, New Mexico – The #15 Buffaloes of West Texas A&M wrapped-up the regular season in style on Saturday afternoon as they registered a 3-1 Heartland Conference road victory at Eastern New Mexico to claim the second seed and a bye in the 2018 Heartland Conference Championship being held in Wichita Falls, Texas next weekend.

The Buffs got on the board early in the 11

nd minute as the senior registered his third score of the season to run the score to 2-0.

Eastern New Mexico answered in the 50
th minute as Gregory Franusic headed a ball off of the crossbar and into the net to cut the lead to 2-1, the Buffs added an insurance goal just four minutes later as Andjelic found
Lucca Lima for the freshman's 10
th score of the season for the 3-1 win. It marks the first time since the modern NCAA statistical era that the Buffs have had atleast three student-athletes with double-digit goals.

Alexander Vencel picked up the win between the pipes for the Buffs, registering three saves on 11 shots to move to 9-1-1 on the season.
