CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M sophomore middle
Destiny Jones registered 17 kills on 20 attempts on Friday night as the Lady Buffs rolled past the visiting Rattlers of St. Mary's in non-conference action in front of over 400 fans at the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box" in Canyon.

The Lady Buffs registered 44 kills on 112 attempts with 17 errors to hit .241 with 40 assists, seven service aces, 56 digs and four blocks. WT was led offensively Jones who finished the night with 17 kills on 20 swings with just one attack error to hit .800 followed by
Selena Batiste and
Gia Petties with six kills each, Batiste dished out 20 assists followed by
Gabby Emery with 15 to go along with 14 digs for a double-double while
Chandler Vogel led all players with 17 digs.
St. Mary's finished the match with 31 kills on 123 swings with 18 attack errors to hit .106 as a team with 30 assists, three aces, 44 digs and six blocks in the loss. The Rattlers were led offensively by Channing Hankins and Alissa Tolbert with 10 kills each, Bree Perry dished out a team-high 19 assists while Monica Ramon led the way defensively with 15 digs on the night.
