Lady Buffs Start Fast But Fall to #6 Nebraska-Kearney in Four Sets

CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M started fast to take an exciting first set but the #6 Lopers of Nebraska-Kearney responded with three straight set victories to top WT at the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box" in Canyon in front of over 500 fans.

- The Lady Buffs hit just .151 as a team with 49 kills on 152 swings with 26 attack errors to go along with 48 assists, five service aces, 69 digs and six total blocks.
- Kearney registered 65 kills on 169 swings with 20 attack errors to hit .266 as a team with 58 assists, six service aces, 72 digs and 13 total blocks in the win.
- Sophomore Taylor Kress led the Lady Buffs offensively with 13 kills and 20 digs for a double-double while Crystal Thomas registered 10 kills, Selena Batiste paced the WT offense with 37 assists on the night to go along with 10 digs for a double-double of her own.

- The Lady Buffs return to Lone Star Conference action tomorrow afternoon as they host the Aggies of Cameron with first serve set for Noon at the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box" in Canyon followed by a matchup between Lubbock Christian and #6 Nebraska-Kearney at 2:30 p.m.
