CANYON, Texas – The #2 Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M started fast and never looked back as they saw 12 different players score in a 118-56 rout of the University of the Southwest in front of over 500 fans at the First United Bank Center in Canyon, Texas. It marks the eighth most points scored by the Lady Buffs in a single game (118) in program history.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- West Texas A&M was led offensively by Madison Parker who went 9-of-11 from the floor including 5-of-8 from the free throw line for 23 points to go along with a game-high 10 rebounds for a double-double. Tyesha Taylor added 16 points followed by Abby Spurgin with 15.
- Desiree Garza led the way for the Mustangs with 14 points as she went 6-of-13 from the floor and 2-of-3 from the free throw line followed by Teanikia Rodgers with 13 points on the night.

FIRST HALF:
- The Lady Buffs went 23-of-34 (67.6%) from the floor in the first half including 4-of-6 (50%) from behind the arc and 9-of-14 (67.6%) from the free throw line with 21 rebounds (seven offensive, 14 defensive), 18 assists, seven turnovers, three block and five steals.
- University of the Southwest went 14-of-30 (46.7%) from the field including 1-of-5 (20%) from deep to go along with eight rebounds (three offensive, five defensive), five assists, 11 turnovers and five steals.

- WT finished the game going 46-of-72 (63.9%) from the floor including 7-of-18 (38.9%) from deep and 19-of-28 (67.9%) from the charity stripe with 48 rebounds (14 offensive, 34 defensive), 34 assists, 13 turnovers, five blocks and 11 steals in the win.
