Biography
2019-20 (Junior):
Spurgin continued to dominate in the paint for the Lady Buffs during her junior campaign in 2019-20, seeing time in all 33 contests with 27 starts for WT. The Fredericksburg product went 178-of-331 (53.8%) from the floor including 100-of-131 (76.3%) from the free throw line to lead the team in scoring with 456 points to average 13.8 per contest. She registered 29 assists, 14 steals and 87 blocks to go along with 200 total rebounds (71 offensive, 129 defensive) to average 6.1 per game. Spurgin was honored for her efforts on the court as a First Team All-Lone Star Conference selection while also being named Second Team All-South Central Region by the D2CCA.
2018-19 (Sophomore):
Spurgin has worked to become one of the top post players in the Lone Star Conference as she saw time in all 33 contests for the Lady Buffs in 2018-19, averaging 17.5 minutes per game. The Fredericksburg product went 105-of-206 (51%) from the floor including 68-of-96 (70.8%) from the charity stripe while grabbing 200 rebounds (70 offensive, 130 defensive) for an average of 3.6 per game. She registered a team-high 72 blocks (2.2/game) during her sophomore campaign which led the Lone Star Conference. Spurgin earned LSC Tournament Most Valuable Player accolades as she averaged 11 points, nine rebounds and seven blocks per game as WT claimed the program's 15th LSC Tournament Title.
2017-18 (Freshman):
Spurgin was a force off of the bench for the Lady Buffs during her true freshman campaign in 2017-18, seeing time in 22 contests with one start. The Fredericksburg product went 25-of-39 (64.1%) from the floor including 18-of-23 (78.3%) from the charity stripe to average 3.1 points to go along with 44 rebounds (11 offensive, 33 defensive), 10 assists, 11 blocks and five steals while averaging 6.1 minutes per game for the Lady Buffs.
At Fredericksburg High School:
Spurgin registered a standout prep career at Fredericksburg High School under the guidance of head coach Carrie Grona. She was a TABC All-State selection and the District Most Valuable Player as a senior, earning an invite to the TABC All-Star Game. Spurgin earned All-State and All-Region honors during her junior season while also lettering in volleyball and track at FHS. She also excelled in the classroom, being named Academic All-District.

Born April 8, 1999. Daughter of Jim and Heather Spurgin and she has one sister, Audrey. Majoring in Education (K-6) at West Texas A&M.
