CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs hit the road this weekend for three matchups. WT will face off with Midwestern State in a Highway 287 Challenge Cup matchup on Friday at 1:30 p.m. followed by a match with Newman at 4:30 p.m. at D.L. Ligon Coliseum. WT's weekend road trip will end on Saturday afternoon with a showdown with the Aggies of Cameron at 2 p.m. in Lawton.

MIDWESTERN STATE
The Mustangs are led by third year head coach Natalie Burton who led MSU to their LSC Tournament appearance in since 2013 last season. She was named the eighth head coach in program history on March 24, 2015 after serving two years at Newman.

MSU enters the weekend with an overall record of 9-11 with a 3-8 mark in LSC play following a loss to Texas A&M-Commerce on the road on Tuesday night in a five set thriller.

The Mustangs are led offensively by Meghan Bettis with 165 kills (2.70/set) on 521 swings with 56 attack errors to hit .209 on the season. The MSU offense is paced by Kristan Aduddel with 678 assists (9.83/set) while Aerielle Edward leads the way defensively with 328 digs (4.75/set).

MSU has registered 870 kills (12.1/set) on 2,607 attempts with 417 attack errors to hit .174 as a team so far this season. They average 11.5 assists and 1.6 service aces per set while tallying 1,081 digs (15.0/set) and 155.0 total blocks (2.2/set) on the season.

The Lady Buffs lead the all-time series with the Mustangs, 35-0 in a series dating back to the 1980 season. WT is 12-0 all-time in Wichita Falls.

NEWMAN
The Jets are guided by third year head coach Destiny Clark who has led NU to a pair of Heartland Conference Tournaments.

Newman enters the weekend with an overall record of 9-13 with a 3-3 mark in Heartland play following a loss to Arkansas-Fort Smith in straight sets last Thursday in Wichita. The Jets face off with Lubbock Christian on Thursday night in Lubbock.

The Jets are led offensively by Emily Harvey with 284 kills (3.69/set) on 745 swings with 86 attack errors to hit .266 on the season. Megan Pederson paces the NU offense with 440 assists (6.29/set) while Anna Burton leads the way defensively with 461 digs (5.69/set).

Newman has registered 1,009 kills (12.5/set) on 2,988 attempts with 425 attack errors to hit .195 as a team so far this season. They average 11.6 assists and 1.4 service aces per set while tallying 1,398 digs (17.3/set) and 139.0 total blocks (1.7/set) on the season.

The Lady Buffs are 4-0 all-time against Newman in a series dating back to the 2008 season.

CAMERON
Cameron is led by first year head coach Tatiana Booth who came to Lawton following three seasons as the head coach at Vernon College, where she compiled a 76-40 overall record.

The Aggies enter the weekend with an overall record of 5-14 with a 2-9 mark in LSC play a straight set loss to Texas Woman's on Tuesday night in Denton.

CU is led offensively by Paige Dixon with 82 kills (3.04/set) on 222 swings with 42 attack errors to hit .180 on the season. Brook Conley has dished out a team high 191 assists (7.07/set) while Brittnee Altic leads the way defensively with 126 digs (4.67/set).

Cameron has registered 810 kills (11.4/set) on 2,461 attempts with 387 attack errors to hit .172 as a team so far this season. They average 10.6 assists and 1.1 service aces per set while tallying 1,074 digs (15.1/set) and 145.0 total blocks (2.0/set) on the season.

The Lady Buffs lead the all-time series against the Aggies, 49-3 with WT taking the last three meetings from Cameron in a series dating back to 1988. WT is 18-3 all-time at Aggie Gym in Lawton.

HOME DOMINANCE
West Texas A&M is fortunate to have one of the best home environments in all of NCAA Volleyball, in any division. The WTAMU Fieldhouse is more affectionately known as "The Box," is home to 19 Lone Star Conference Championships, 13 Regional Titles and three NCAA Division II National Championships. "The Box" boats one of the best home winning records in the NCAA on any level of competition. The Lady Buffs are 464-74 at The Box since the 1980 season for an incredible winning percentage of 86.2%.

WT head coach
Jason Skoch, a four-time LSC Coach of the Year, is now in his ninth season at the helm of the Lady Buffs, carrying an overall career record of 383-90 (.809, 12th year) including a 247-70 (.778) mark in Canyon. Skoch has led the Lady Buffs to seven appearances in the NCAA Postseason with three South Central Regional Titles and a National Runner-Up finish in 2009.

YOUTH MOVEMENT
The Lady Buffs have played in 76 sets during 22 matches so far during the 2017 season. True freshman
Chandler Vogel has started 21 of those matches at libero while four other freshman have made appearances in the starting lineup so far this season for the Lady Buffs.

THE LONE STAR CONFERENCE
Entering the week, LSC teams were 108-108 overall this season. The squads are currently 15-17 combined versus RMAC teams, and 12-6 against the Heartland Conference, which are the other leagues in the NCAA South Central Region.

AVCA DIVISION II TOP-25 POLL (OCT. 16)
Lewis picked up 28 of the possible 48 first place votes in this week's AVCA Division II Top-25 Poll announced on Monday afternoon by the association's offices.

Lewis sit atop of the poll with 1,115 total points followed by S.W. Minnesota State (11 first place, 1,143), Concordia-St. Paul (1,088), Palm Beach Atlantic (6 first place, 1,069), Minnesota Duluth (1 first place, 1,024), Cal Baptist (2 first place, 984), Nebraska-Kearney (900), Western Washington (793), Regis (750) and Central Oklahoma (740) to round out the top ten. The South Central Region was represented by Regis (9th), Tarleton State (13th), Colorado School of Mines (19th), Angelo State (22nd) and UA-Fort Smith (RV).
