CANYON, Texas – The West Texas A&M baseball team returns home to host Eastern New Mexico in a three-game series beginning Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Wilder Park. The Buffs and Greyhounds will then conclude the series Saturday with a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
FIRST PITCH
WT returns home for the final two series' of the regular season as it battles rival Eastern New Mexico this weekend at Wilder Park.
The first game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Friday, followed by a doubleheader Saturday at 1 p.m.The Buffs are looking to get back on the winning track following a very disappointing sweep at Angelo State last weekend as the team had chances to win all three games and 5-1 leads midway through two of them, but couldn't hang on.
The Buffs sit three-games back of Angelo State and Texas A&M-Kingsville in the league standings with six games to play.TAMUK visits WT the final week of the regular season May 6-7.
ENMU enters with a 10-34 record and a 3-26 mark in Lone Star Conference play, while WT is 29-15 and 17-12 in league play.
WT won the previous series this season with ENMU 4-0 in Portales the last week of March.
The series is sponsored by Carpet Tech and it will serve ice cream at the doubleheader on Saturday.
