CANYON, Texas – The No. 21/24 West Texas A&M baseball team continues its home stand hosting Cameron in a key Lone Star Conference series this weekend at Wilder Park. The games are set for a single game Saturday at 12 p.m., followed by a doubleheader Sunday at 1 p.m.
FIRST PITCH
The Buffs are coming off a thrilling, 15-inning, 7-6 win over #10/15 Lubbock Christian on Tuesday.
WT is 27-11 overall and 15-8 in Lone Star Conference play sitting in a tie for second in the league standings with Texas A&M-Kingsville as both teams are one game behind Angelo State.
Cameron enters with a 25-13 record overall and a 11-12 mark in conference play and sits fourth in the standings - four games out of third and five out of first.
The Buffs won the earlier season series 3-1 in Lawton, Okla., this season, winning the first game 6-3, dropping the second 6-3 and winning the final two 5-4 and 10-0.
If the Buffs were to sweep the series this weekend, WT would have 30 wins on the season marking the fourth-straight year of 30 or more wins and the eighth overall(since baseball was reinstated as a sport at WT in 1994)

Matt Vanderburg has four 30-plus win seasons in his eight years at WT and his 37 wins in 2014 is a school-record.
