WT finishes the regular season with an overall record of 11-5-0 and 9-3-0 in conference play. The Lady Buffs share the title with TAMUC after both teams lost on Sunday afternoon.
"I am proud of how the girls played today and throughout the entire season," WT women's soccer head coach Chad Webb said. "Even though we didn't get the result that we wanted today, we are still co-champions of the conference and should be proud of that. With that being said, we need to turn our attention to the conference tournament next week and what we need to do to be successful there. I want to thank the fans that came out and supported us today. You have been great all season and we appreciate the atmosphere you create."

The Lady Buffs took a 2-1 lead on a wonderful ball from Khadidra Debesette at 48:29. The sophomore midfielder received the ball from Forbes on the right end line before finding space and launching the ball across goal off the crossbar giving WT their first lead of the match.
MSU leveled the match at 2-2 on Coetzer's second goal of the match at 54:40 after receiving a pass from Destinee Williamson right in front of goal. The Lady Buffs came within inches of retaking the lead at 72:27 when Ronni Ajeto controlled a long ball right in front of Burnette.
