CANYON, Texas – The #22 Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M outlasted the talented ThunderWolves of Colorado State-Pueblo in a five set thriller on Friday night in the first day finale of the BritKare Lady Buff Classic at the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box" in Canyon. WT moves to 2-0 on the season with the win while CSUP falls to 1-1 following a four-set win over Eastern New Mexico earlier in the day.

The Lady Buffs were led offensively by
Elisa Bentsen and
Cori Haley with 14 kills each followed by senior middle blocker
Lexi Davis who registered her second straight double-digit kill effort with 10 on the night. WT was led defensively by
Lauren Britten with a match high 17 digs while freshman
Dalaney Tuholski registered her first career double-double with 21 assists and 10 digs on the night. The Lady Buffs hit .139 as a team with 57 kills on 173 swings to go along with 33 attack errors while registering 46 assists, 56 digs and 12 total blocks in the match.

The ThunderWolves were led by Mariangel Perez with a match high 15 kills followed by Caitlin Broadwell with 14 and Oni Lattin with 10. CSUP was led by Elena Michalski with 22 assists to go along with 15 digs for the double-double while Alex Sansavera tallied 21 assists. Colorado State-Pueblo hit .130 as a team with 53 kills on 154 swings with 33 attack errors to go along with 50 assists, 65 digs and 12 total blocks in the match.
