CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M started fast as they took the opening set of Lone Star Conference play before dropping the next three as they snap a 38-match LSC regular-season win streak in a four set loss (25-17, 18-25, 23-25, 23-25) to Texas A&M-Commerce in front of over 500 fans at the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box" on Friday night in Canyon.

The Lady Buffs were led offensively by Curl with 11 kills on 28 swings with four attack errors to hit .250 on the night while Davis tallied 10 kills, Jackson guided the WT offense with 38 assists in the match while Long tallied a team high 14 digs. The Lady Buffs hit .158 as a team with 46 kills on 139 swings with 24 attack errors to go along with 45 assists, 55 digs, five service aces and 7.5 total blocks in the match.

Texas A&M-Commerce was led by Driver with a match high 17 kills on 34 swings with five attack errors to hit .353 on the night while Alford registered 13 kills, Tate led all players with 45 assists on the night while four Lions registered double-digit digs led by Dykstra with 14. The Lions hit .172 as a team with 55 kills on 145 swings with 30 attack errors to go along with 52 assists, 60 digs, three service aces and nine total blocks.
