Box Score (Game 1)Box Score (Game 2)Season StatsLAWTON, Okla. – The West Texas A&M baseball team split a doubleheader Saturday afternoon at Cameron, dropping the first game 2-1 and winning the nightcap 10-5. WT now stands at 19-12 on the year and 11-8 in Lone Star Conference play. Cameron stands at 14-15 overall and 8-10 in league play heading into tomorrow's series finale.
In the opener, WT scored in the first inning and Cameron tied in the third. The Aggies scored the winning run with a RBI single to left by Jonathan Reyes with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh for a 2-1 win as the Buffs fell to 6-8 in one run games this season.
In a true pitcher's duel, WT senior
Justin Disbro went six innings, allowing seven hits, two earned runs with one walk and seven strikeouts taking the loss and falling to 3-3 on the year. Masters improved to 4-4 on the season.
Junior
Trace Hansen belted his second home run in as many games with one out in the first for a 1-0 lead. Cameron came back to even the score in the third with a double down the right field line plating the equalizer.
Masters held the Buffs to a season-low two hits, allowing the one earned run along with two walks and he fanned six. Reyes was 3 for 4 with two RBI to pace the Aggies.
In the bottom of the seventh, a leadoff single from Tyler McKenzie got things started for the Aggies. An intentional walk followed as WT went to the bullpen in favor of senior
Paul Lujan. A walk loaded the bases, followed by a fielder's choice as McKenzie was out at the plate. Reyes then singled home the winning run.
In the nightcap, the WT offense came to play as the Buffs scored 10 runs on 16 hits, but committed a season-high five errors in the contest. The Buffs held Cameron to five runs on five hits.

Ryan March. Junior
Matt Cole doubled him home. A hit batsman followed along with two outs. From there, junior
Aaron De La Paz doubled home two more runs and senior
Dylan Dyson added a RBI double down the left field line for a 4-0 lead.
The Buffs then added three more runs in the second on four hits as WT loaded the bases scoring the first run on a wild pitch. From there senior
Jacob Caples hit a RBI single and a sacrifice fly from junior
Josh Day plated the third run and a 7-0 lead.
Cameron came back with five runs in the bottom of the frame on three hits and one miscue. Reyes hit a bases-clearing, three RBI double to left center highlighting the inning as all five runs were unearned.
WT added to the lead in the fourth with another sacrifice fly from Day, followed by a run in the sixth on a sacrifice fly from junior
Mason Shiflett for a 9-5 lead. In the seventh, the Buffs loaded the bases once again and scored a run on a fielder's choice by Day for a 10-5 lead.
The Buffs had five players with two or more hits in the game led by three hits apiece from March and Cole. Day had a team-high three RBI in the contest. WT senior
Sean Michel (2-0) earned the win in relief going 5.1 innings, allowing one hit with five strikeouts as he relieved junior
Brooks Trujillo who went 1.2 innings, allowing four hits, five unearned runs with one walk and one strikeout.
