CANYON, Texas – The West Texas A&M Lady Buffs dropped their fifth straight match on Saturday night including their third straight five set thriller as they fell to the Lone Star Conference leading TexAnns of Tarleton State (25-18, 14-25, 25-21, 24-26, 10-15) in front of over 400 fans at the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box" in Canyon. The Lady Buffs fall to 11-15 (3-11 LSC) while the TexAnns continue to hold a one game lead in the league with a record of 21-5 (11-1 LSC).
 
The Lady Buffs were led offensively by Davis with 12 kills on 33 swings with five attack errors to hit .212 on the night while Curl and Haley both tallied 10 kills, Jackson guided the WT offense with 39 assists in the match while Britten led the team with 15 digs on the night. WT hit .116 as a team with 52 kills on 172 swings with 32 attack errors to go along with 50 assists, two service aces, 61 digs and 14 total blocks on the night.
 
Tarleton State was led by Roberts to tallied a match high 23 kills on 59 swings with 19 attack errors to hit just .068 on the night while Mathis tallied 14 kills in the match, Gow led the TexAnns with 45 assists while Roberts led all players with 19 digs for the double-double. TSU hit .128 as a team with 62 kills on 172 swings with 40 attack errors to go along with 58 assists, two service aces, 70 digs and 14 total blocks in the match.
 
NEXT TIME OUT
The Lady Buffs will host their final home match of the 2015 season on Tuesday night as they welcome the rival Greyhounds of Eastern New Mexico with first serve set for 6 p.m. at the WTAMU Fieldhouse "The Box" in Canyon. Prior to Tuesday night's matchup, the WT Athletic Department will honor Lexi Davis, the lone senior of this year's team, with a Senior Night ceremony.
