Madilyn attended Amarillo High School where she ran for Coach Jay Hufstedler. Newsome competed in the 200m, 400m (55.71s School Record), 4x100m, 4x200m, and the 4x400m. Madilyn was awarded MVP well competing for the Sandies.

Personal
Daughter of Brian and Dana, has three siblings Mersadie, Calahan, and Cooper. Madilyn is a Broadcasting Major and a Public Relations Minor.
