Freshman (2015/16)
Cross Country: As a freshman, Smith was the top runner for the Lady Buffs with a pair of top-15 finishes in both the Border Classic (4k) and Buffalo Stampede (6k). She ran a personal-best time of 19:46.9 in the 5k at the Chile Pepper Festival. She finished the season with a pair of top-30 finishes in the NMJC Cross Country Open (6k) and LSC Championships (6k).
Indoor: Redshirt.
Outdoor: Finished 14
th in the 400-meter hurdles at the Lone Star Conference Championships running a personal-best time of 1:09.26. She finished fourth in that event at the Ross Black Open running 1:10.27.
High School: Graduated from Canyon High School where she ran cross country and track &field for the Eagles under head coach Ray Baca. She helped lead the Eagles to a seventh place finish at the 2014 UIL Girl’s Class 5-A State Cross Country Championships.
Personal: Hometown is Canyon, Texas. Daughter of Chad and Angela Smith. Has one sibling, Tristan. Majoring in pre-nursing at West Texas A&M.
