Coach Jameson’s Take:  As a newcomer last year, Kayla’s contributions were measured in more than just her scores.  Her teammates voted her as the “Lady Buff Spirit” recipient, based on her what an amazing teammate she was on a daily basis.

2016-17 Highlights:  Best finish of the season came at WT’s Desert Invite at the Lodge at Ventana Canyon, where Kayla placed T13 shooting 77-78.  Competed in five tournaments as a junior.  Named as a WGCA Scholar All-American.

Western Texas College: Helped lead her team to fifth at nationals in 2015 and sixth in 2016...She qualified for every tournament both years for head coaches Christi Williams and Matt McCormick...She placed third at the Texas Lutheran Tournament with a 77 and 78. 

Hereford High School: Was in top five percent of her class all four years and earned the "Over 100 Average" Award for 2013-14 year...She was a U.S. Army Reserve National Scholar Athlete, National Honor Society member for three years...Earned the 2016 women's golf GPA Award, President's Distinguished Student Award in 2016...She helped lead her team to third in districts in 2012-2014...She qualified for regionals as a senior, while earning Female Golfer of the Year Award and was a first team all-district honoree.

Personal: Born March 2, 1996...Parents are Keith and Carol Bartley...She plans on majoring in plant, soil and environmental science at WT.
