At Canadian High School:
Boyd finished off a stellar prep career at nearby Canadian High School as she helped the Wildcats to the Regional Finals and an overall record of 33-2, Mattie was named the District 1-3A Co-Most Valuable Player as she was a part of 114 program wins while scoring over 2,000 career points. As a junior she guided the Wildcats to the District 1-3A Championship as she was named the District's Most Valuable Player while also earning TGCA All-State honors and being named to the All-Press Pass Sports First Team. Mattie was also a State Qualifier in the Shot Put and Discus while excelling in the classroom as a member of the National Honor Society at CHS.

Born July 12, 2003. Mattie is the daughter of Douglas and Jill Boyd and she has two siblings, Jazzie and Sadie. She is expected to major in Athletic Training/Kinesiology at West Texas A&M.
