Mikaehla "KK" Connor enters her second season on the sideline for the Lady Buffs. WT finished the 20221-22 campaign with an overall record of 26-11 as WT claimed the LSC Regular Season and Tournament Titles followed by a run to the South Central Regional Championship at the First United Bank Center in Canyon.

Connor came to Canyon following a standout playing career at Lone Star Conference rival Eastern New Mexico. Connor was instrumental in the rise of ENMU women’s basketball program, leading the Greyhounds to a selection into the NCAA Division II National Tournament in each of her two seasons as a graduate assistant coach and once during her standout three-year playing career in Portales.
 
A talented guard during her collegiate career, Connor was responsible for the development of ENMU’s guards and wing players as well as handling all in-game substitutions for the position group during her time on Prock’s staff. She handled scouting reports and pregame preparation for the opposing teams. Aside from coaching responsibilities, Connor organized the team’s academic efforts, community service activities and was responsible for running the ENMU women’s basketball camps.
 
Prior to her coaching career, Connor was a dominant wing along the perimeter for the Hounds and played three seasons under Prock from 2015-18. Connor was a pivotal piece of the 2016-17 LSC Championship team, which also made the first trip to the NCAA Tournament in school history. As a junior, Connor averaged career-highs in points (11.2) and assists (3.4) as she finished the season with First Team All-LSC, LSC All-Defensive Team and LSC All-Academic honors.
 
Connor finished her Greyhound career with 857 points, 393 rebounds, 191 assists, 69 steals, and 55 blocks in 84 games played. Her 83 starts are the sixth-most in Greyhound history and she ranks third in career minutes averaged, logging 31.5 per game. Connor sits fourth in the ENMU all-time record book with 158 offensive rebounds while her 201 made free throws ranks tenth.
 
She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree of Science while also earning her Master’s degree in Sports Administration from Eastern New Mexico.
