Biography
2010-11
Williams played in 20 games her sophomore season with the Lady Buffs, averaging just under one point (0.7) and one rebound (0.7) per contest. She shot .333 percent from the field and was .286 from the charity stripe on the season. She scored a season-high four points on two separate occasions, but pulled down a career-high six boards against Southwestern Oklahoma on Dec. 4, 2010.
2009-10
Williams played in 27 games as a true freshman for the Lady Buffs last season. She averaged 9.6 minutes a game and scored just under two points (1.9) a contest. She shot 42.9% from the field and 57.9% from the free-throw line. Williams tallied 32 total rebounds, 17 assists, five blocked shots and 10 steals in her time on the court. She had a season-best six-point effort in three different games and went a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line against Texas A&M-Commerce.
High School
Williams played forward for head coach Jason Cooper at Sudan High in Sudan, Texas. As a senior, she helped her team to a 35-5 record and a class 1A State Championship. Her team claimed the district championship for four-consecutive seasons while Williams was there. She was named the District MVP and the defensive player of the district her senior year. A multi-sport athlete, Williams competed seriously in track as a three-time state champion in triple jump. She also placed in multiple events at the state track meets throughout her high school career in 100m sprint, the 200m sprint, long jump and triple jump. Williams also participated in cross country and tennis. In the classroom, Williams was an A/B honor roll student.
Personal
The daughter of Sherrie Williams and Ronald Johnson, Brittany has two siblings, Derrick and Myeshia. She is a pre-med major.
