2018 Outdoor: Finished fourth in the long jump at the Lone Star Conference Championships with a mark of 7.19-meters (23-7.25). He also finished second in the long jump at the West Texas A&M Last Chance with a jump of 7.00m (22-11.75). He also competed in the 100-meter dash for the first time running 10.98.

2018 Indoor: Provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships in the long jump with his mark of 7.19-meters (23-7.25) at the Lone Star Conference Championships where he finished second for Second Team All-Lone Star Conference recognition. Won the long jump at The Quad in Gunnison, Colo. with a leap of 6.88m (22-7). Finished fifth in the event at the Texas Tech Red & Black Open.
2017 Outdoor: Finished seventh in the long jump at the Lone Star Conference Championships with a seasonal best mark of 7.03 meters (23-0.75). He recorded a second place finish in the long jump at the West Texas A&M Invitational with a mark of 6.93 meters (22-9). Finished seventh at the WT Classic & Multi with a jump of 6.97 meters (22-10.5).
2017 Indoor: Earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Region honors in the long jump. Was named Third Team All-Lone Star Conference honors after Finishing third in the long jump at the LSC Championships with a personal best mark of 7.16 meters (23-6) that provisionally qualified him for the NCAA Championships. He won the long jump at the Grizzly/Buffalo Clash with a mark of 7.07 meters (23-2.50).
High School: Graduated from Memphis High School in 2012 where he competed in the 100-meter, 200-meter and long jump for the Cyclones. He was an area and district champion in the 100m and long jump as a senior. He holds a school record in long jump. He also played basketball and football.
Personal: Born on July 5, 1994. Son of Mildred Carter. Has three siblings. Plans on majoring in sports and exercise science at West Texas A&M.
