Biography

High School

Newell attended Alamogordo High School where he ran for Coach Jason Atkinson. Newell competed in the 110m hurdles, 300m hurdles, and the 4x400m. Gary was District Runner-Up in the 300m hurdles his senior year qualifying for the state meet. Gary also was a member of the Tigers Football team.

Personal

Son of Jeffery and Hazel Newell, Gary has four older siblings, Mark, Scott, Jeffery, and Eric. Newell is a History Major.
