2015: Made one appearance for the Buffs playing seven minute against Southern Nazarene on Sept. 19.

Sussex County: During his sophomore season under head coach Frank Vernacchio, Gates ranked fifth in the NJCAA in save percentage with .892. He also ranked in the top 10 in four different categories: Goals-against average (sixth), shutouts (eighth), wins (ninth), and goals against (10th). During that same season, he was named First-Team All-GSAC.

High School: Graduated from Brighton Secondary College in Melbourne, Australia in 2011.

Personal: Son of David and Jackie Gates. Has two sisters, Jodie and Cara. Majoring in exercise science at West Texas A&M.
