Reese Barden returns to West Texas A&M soccer as the former Buff enters his first season as the Student Assistant coach.
Barden comes back to Canyon after he served as the Sporting Director for the FC Dallas WTX in Midland, TX during the 2019-2020 season. Before his time with FC Dallas WTX, the Midland native was a Technical Assistant for the Houston Dynamo/Dash DA.
Barden played overseas for Svenborg FB in the Dansk Division I under Bjørn Holm in Svendborg, Denmark during the 2017-2018 season. He earned a UEFA “B” License from Oure Akademi in Denmark.
During his time in college, Barden also played two years (2014, 2017) for the Midland/Odessa Sockers including their NPSL South Region Championship season.
Barden played 11 games as a true freshman for the Buffs and totaled two goals before transferring to UT Permian Basin in 2015.
