Biography

Career: Johnson has played in 39 matches including 18 starts during his three-year career at WT logging over 2,000 minutes. He has scored seven career goals and three assists for 17 points.

2016: Played in five matches logging 182 minutes before suffering a season-ending injury against Midwestern State on Sept. 15. He scored two second half goals on a season-high three shots on goal in the Buffs 6-1 victory over Huston-Tillotson on Sept. 9 at The Pitch.

2015: Saw action in 17 matches with 10 starts while logging 1,106 minutes. Recorded two assists, 13 shots and six shots on goal. Was part of the back line that accounted for five shutouts throughout the season including three straight.  

2014: Johnson had a breakout season as a sophomore as he appeared in all 17 contests and earning eight starts in 845 minutes on the pitch. He scored five goals, the second-most on the team, and added an assist for 11 total points, tied for the second-highest as well. Johnson generated 22 total shots, placing 11 of those on target for a .500 SOG%.

2013: Redshirt.

High School:  Graduated from Burleson Centennial in Burleson, Texas in 2013. Played forward under head coach Chance Rose. Led the Spartans to a 22-3-3 record his senior year and was awarded team MVP and All-County honors.

Personal: Born on November 7, 1994. Son of Robert and Julie Johnson. Has two brothers Robert Jr. (21) and Tristan (15). Majoring in kinesiology with a minor in biology at West Texas A&M.
