2014: As a freshman, Insulander made an immediate impact for the Buffs as he appeared in 16 games, starting 11 of them in 735 minutes on the pitch. He scored two goals and tallied three assists for seven total points, fourth-most on the squad. Insulander placed nine of his 18 shots on the mark for a .500 SOG%. Both of his goals came in a 5-3 WT victory over CSU-Pueblo on Sept. 12.

High School: Insulander graduated from Ostra Reals Gymnasium in Stockholm, Sweden in 2013. He played forward and led his team to a league championship with a 14-2-0 record as a senior. There, he played 24 games and tallied 18 goals and 16 assists. On the academic side, Insulander was the recipient of the Exemplary Student Achievement and the Exemplary Student Achievement in History awards.
