Biography

2013: Played in 13 games while starting two as a junior returning to the Buffs. Logged 364 minutes and registered one assist. Took 14 shots, six of them on-goal.

2009: Chavez saw time in 17 contests during his rookie campaign slipping one goal into the back of the net and adding two assists to give him a total of four points on the season. Chavez took 10 shots out of 15 on goal giving him a shot on goal percentage of .667. Chavez's lone goal came in the Buffs home opener victory, Sept. 13 against the UT-Permian Basin Falcons.

High School: Chavez was named district MVP for three years and helped lead his team to a district championship his senior year. Chaves was also a member of Achievement through Commitment to Education Scholarship Program (ACE) and lettered two years in football.

Personal: Chavez is the son of Jose and Celia Chavez and one brother, Antonio. Chavez is undecided on a major at Wext Texas A&M.
